…tumbleweeds

Do you know what is no fun at all? Job searching. It carries that same constant guilt factor that homework did in college. There was always some reading you SHOULD be doing, rather than whatever enjoyable activity you would prefer. Much the same with blogging/facebook/etc. Isn’t there some tedious webform full of fields that destroy the aesthetics of your resume that you could be wrestling with, Jennifer?

Yes, there is. Please enjoy these photos from our trip to Florida to visit the inlaws while I use my internet time more responsibly. *sigh*

I hear ya sister! Job searching sucks. It was so much easier in college when the companies came to you, at least they did for Engineering. Plus it doesn’t help that I am really enjoying being a stay at home Mom for the 1st time since maternity leave 13 years ago.

Arggh. Yesterday, while applying for a job at a company I reeeeeally want to work for, and therefore want to make the best possible impressions), I was given a choice upload word, txt or pdf.
“Oooh! PDF! My pretty resume will still be pretty!” I thought.
    Foolish.
The confirm application window spit back my pretty resume as the same old messy window texty gobbledygook. Blagh.

…and apparently my computer is just choosing not to include certain instances of critical punctuation or articles. Sorry.
