There are three things of note about the above picture. First, my dog is apparently designing nursing bras on the side. Second, HOLY SHIT. 36F? (my wee mother: “Jeez, Jen. I didn’t know they went that high.” Thankssomuch) Third, bras are freaking expensive.
All of that being said, I HIGHLY recommend the expensive bra and fitting. Seriously, I think I would’ve paid twice that for this bra. It reduces my frumpy factor by at least half. Also, there’s no way I would have chosen the proper sized bra on my own. 36F? Here is where I tell myself that the size doesn’t matter and that my boobs are at long last performing their intended duty, it’s a beautiful thing, blah blah blah…
In other news, I’ve started putting the boy in outfits and it’s so fun. I must confess that we never had him out of jammies until just this week. I didn’t see the need, and jammies are CUTE. Plus, he doesn’t even have many clothes, not being a girl and all. I did notice, however, that all the other babies at mom’s group always had clothes on. So, I finally bought him some outfits, and now I get to dress him twice a day! Ah, the small joys.

I made the blog! Nice work Clark – you wear them nicely!
Am I the only one who wants to see a picture of said boobs. Fully brad up and clothed of course!
p.s. Clark is super cute too!
That first nursing bra is a jolt isn’t it? Mine was a 36G. I recall just standing there in front of the mirror trying to make sense of it all. The husband didn’t mind though! Love the shirt- I’d wear it myself!
Oh yeah, the kid isn’t too shabby either!
Clark looks like his mom in this picture – pretty darn cute!
was only when my brother said to me ‘doesn’t your baby have any clothes?’ that i realized that other babies didn’t wear sleepsuits ALL the time.
Wow. That is a very large bra size indeed. I had to laugh that the design name was “Freya!” Clark looks great in clothes. Growing SO much! Rona’s right – he looks like you!
I agree, getting sized is worth it. Who knew how bras were supposed to fit? I did the same thing after having my second born.
and he will spend the rest of his life TRYING to be in PJs all day!
you know what makes me go YIKES about this post, Jenny? My bra size is bigger than that when I am NOT lactating. Now you can feel sorry for my poor back!
Do I see some red in those little eye brows? He’s looking so big and cute. I was one of those mom’s who dressed Aoife everday. We had SO MANY CLOTHES! I felt bad for not using them. Lamont is sometimes chastised for putting her in the same things week after week instead of using everything we’ve got.
*love your twitter posting about the pooing of you!
A) Clark just couldn’t be any cuter in that shot.
B) Baby Pants crack me up. I just love them.
C) Getting proper bras was truly a game-changer for me when I was nursing. Seriously. I felt like a new person when the ladies moved to the proper place. I used to refer to them as the Big G’s, as opposed to the girl, known as Little G.
D) I do think you should take a good photo of you with the proper bra and all on so we can honor their magnificence.
Tacoma Friend: Those socks are the best.
hliv: Yeah…no. There is very little photography permitted of me these days.
clickmom: Yes, the poor husbands. They’re so big, and so off limits.
Rona: You think?
Leah: Ha! I’m glad that I’m not the only one!
Jill: I know, right? He’s huge!
tia: Totally. I thought fittings were necessary before lactation, now? Jeez.
V: I feel sorry for your back AND your wallet! You do have such a nice rack, though, I suppose this is the price you must pay.
Kelly T: Yes, the pooing was quite spectacular. All over himself, the boppy, and me. I was glad he finally got it out, though!
Noreen: Big Gs! Ha!
I went to fashion week in Vegas this week to help out a lingerista friend of mine, and Freya’s upcoming line is so beautiful! You will be impressed, I promise! Though the people at the booth were not so lovely, which was unfortunate.
