Week 28 Update
September 27, 2008 | Mom In The Making
Um, yeah. Do you know what 28 weeks means? It means the third trimester. NO SHIT. FOR REALS.
It means I now have midwife appointments every 2 weeks.
It also means my back has started hurting like a bitch. All of a sudden! It feels like I turned some corner. I shall refrain from announcing how great I feel from now on, lest I be besieged by some other pregnancy malady. I was just trying to be positive!
Anyway, if it seems like this has gone by fast to you, don’t worry, it does for me, too. Well, in a way. It sort of feels like it’s been forever, too, and Christmas seems REALLY far away, but then I think, WHOA. Thrid trimester already?
But all is well. I passed my glucose test, hooray! I have low iron, though, and had to buy some really expensive vitamins. In other news, we officially no longer have a pile of baby crap in the living room. With the addition of the new dresser and an old bookshelf, the baby’s room is starting to come together. Progress is being made!
The week 28 belly shot was taken in front of a bar before Quiz Night. Classy!

Shirt courtesy of Beth, pants courtesy of Motherhood gift card from Heather. Please try to ignore how I am wearing them in every week’s picture. I have a serious Pants Crisis right now.

Even though you are having a pants crisis you still look adorable.

I am seriously about to make a pants pilgrimage to some maternity store somewhere that isn’t Motherhood or Annette B (since I’ve exhausted the selection at both places) – let me know if you want to join!

Ha! You are STILL wearing the shirt you didn’t believe would fit, and you’re in your third trimester! I won’t say I told you so, but you do look awesome! For your back, I recommend the medela maternity support belt. It really helped me out.

sizzle: Thanks, love.
Jess: I just got a really great pair of cords at Mimi Maternity at Bell Square. Unfortunately, they cost aproximately 1 million dollars, though. I only got them because I had two shirts to return that mae them somewhat reasonable.
Beth: I also got a belt! I am a little afraid of it, but you and the saleslady speak very highly of it. I am in so much pain these days, I’ll try anything.
