Jess: Yes, it was a good thing that I blew up and cried and got it out of the way right off the bat. We were all good for the rest of the time.

sizzle: Hopefully he will be fine. According to my manager before I left, Workplace has a LOT of work right now and not enough people to fill it. She just had to interview like 10 different people for a recent opening on our team before she found someone qualified. So, folks with skillz should be able to be easily hired. That 100 days can suck, though. Is he getting unemployment? He is eligible!

jamie: Thanks so much for appreciating my Lebowski references as always. You rule.

Nice marmot, indeed!

Ikea is right up there with Costco or the DOL as places that I find incredibly painful to visit, but that stuffed animal is mighty tempting bait...

My boyfriend worked for the same company (I think? Same 100 day policy in WA so it figures.) but he hasn't been really relaxed during his time off. He's so stressed about work I worry about him. But I am glad you can get your third trimester off. That's a good thing!

Also, I wonder if that's why Ikea is set up the way it is. In case you are crying for any myriad of reasons when you go in, the one-way winding track guarantees it'll be cleared up by the time you have to load your cart. And, oh, I'm calling you smart because you didn't pay a jillion dollars for a changing table.
