Last week, I went with a big crew of ladies for happy hour and the Sex And The City movie. My expectations were low. How could it ever live up to the fabulousness that is the series? But it did! It was everything I wanted it to be. If you love SATC, go see it. You won’t be disappointed.

A couple of weeks ago, I was so excited for the movie to come out, that I renewed my search for a reasonably affordable complete series box set. Each season usually costs about $50, and the lowest I’d ever seen all 6 together was $300-something. Anyway, I searched the internets and I found the complete series for a steal at $107! And look how cool it is!
It came is this fuzzy book, and there’s episode synopsis-es, cool pictures, tons of dorky bonus features, and the disks fit satisfyingly into those little sleeves.
I already own season 4 on DVD, however. Do you remember season 4? It’s a masterpiece from beginning to end. It includes such gems as the fashion roadkill episode, the one where Carrie goes with Aidan to the boonies, and of course, the I heart NY episode, the old-timey movie inspired, beautiful tribute to NYC they made after 9/11.

I had never seen SATC until the movie… of which I was horribly put down by my BFF (marissa-ferris.blogspot.com). We went to see the movie on Saturday and I LOVED IT!! I told her 5 minutes into the show that we were going to have to rent ALL THE SEASONS so that I could catch up.
I mean, how did Big and Carrie get started? Who is Aidan? Where are the boonies? Has anyone other than Charlotte poopkipsied in their pants? I need to know these things… and just think – you could help me.

I think you may have more than 10 readers! I really enjoy your blog…your writing is relatable and down to earth. You seem jubilant and normal (do those 2 adjectives go together?). I luuurrve SATC! In fact, I am a notorious cheapskate and I had HBO (a freakin’ pay channel) just for SATC. I cancelled it because of that scary Real Sex show…not kosher in a house with a pre-teen. That was a long-winded way of saying I’ve missed a few episodes and I’d love the chance to see every single show. My favorite character is Charlotte…who do you love?

i was late to the SATC trend. I watched the entire series alone in about two weeks via netflix. This was 4 years ago. but you know this.
But, I do remember when you lived in liverpool & you had the SATC ringer on your phone. I still think of you everytime I hear it..

I lent my copy of season four to a friend when she was pregnant and stuck at home on bed rest. Her son is now three. I think I’m not getting it back!
I know that my dear Sarah has already made a plea for the season, but I am making a plea on her behalf. Do you remember when you first saw the series and you had the revalation that you had truly become a woman in your own right? I saw that in my dear Sarah when we saw the movie, and we, as a society, have a duty to further that growth. Maybe now she can join my love of shoes.

What I love about SATC: the clothes, the shoes, the accessories. And since I moved from the East Coast to the fashion wasteland of Portland (with a very few excepotions most people here are clad in Crocs and flannels), I really, really miss seeing fashion mavens on every block. You might even call it jonesing.

I love SATC, but I have children and no foxtel, so I really need to catch up on the show. I’ll probably watch the movie on video (are you feeling sorry for me yet?)
