Monday Funday

Yesterday, a lovely friend of mine gave me a bunch of really nice compliments about this here blog. Now I’m sitting here, mouth breathing, blinking at the screen, and trying to follow up such declarations of brilliance with something worthy.

Hmm. Um. Yeah.

So I’ve started Twittering. Do you know about this twitter?  It’s like mini blogging, each ‘tweet’ is only 140 characters long, but you can hook up your phone, too, so that you can send and receive posts like text messages. It’s pretty awesome if you’re into that sort of thing. How rad is it to get a text message from Dooce on a Saturday morning that says this:

“When my mother asks Leta if she wants to go to church, we’re teaching Leta to say, “Don’t pitch me, bro.”

I know some of you don’t text, OR blog, and this is not your cup of tea, but a couple of you I think should join RIGHT NOW so that we can twitter! (I’m looking at you, Dahli, Jenny W, JayAre.)

In my hours and hours on the road, I’m allowed some serious research into bumper stickers of the Puget Sound Region. Here are few I’ve seen lately:

At least the war on the environment is going well.

Your Hummer looks stupid.

Come to the dark side. We have cookies.

(On a red, white and blue magnetic ribbon) Just pretend it’s all okay…

My girl is like my horse, you can look, but you can’t take a ride. (PUKE.)

K, so, I am not ready for twitter yet. I need to maintain my commitment to my blog for the moment. Then we might take it to the next level…
