New York! New York!
We are off for five days* in the Big Apple! You may recall last year when we went to New York over New Year’s. We had such a great time, we’re doing it again! We have glamorous plans for New Year’s Eve, but other than that, we shall do whatever sounds good at the moment. We’ll go see a broadway show for sure, and I’d like to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and go to Top of the Rock this time if we can. And ooooh! I will take pictures! Tons of pictures! And with my new camera, I will appear to be some sort of arteest, not a tourist!

*note to internet crazies: It is occurring to me that perhaps one shouldn’t announce a vacation to the whole internets. We do have a house sitter, however, and she packs heat.

Looks like there are others you’re dissing on east coast, too, huh? Nah, just kidding with you. Have a great time in NYC. Wish we could have planned to meet up with you. Are you going next year? That might have to be a must.
Give big hugs to Steve, Amy, Dylan, Annie and Broadway. I’m so bummed to miss the second annual go-’round of this friend-studded all-star affair. But! The pictures will be great with the new lens. Bravo on the Nikon tip. We have the D80 and love the results. We got shit hanging all over our house from that thing…love it. Might I suggest you take your camera to the Promenade in Brooklyn at sunset and take some stunners of the famous New York skyline at dusk? It would be the perfect end of your walk across the bridge.
Sigh. I miss NYC.

Oh, and please say you weren’t wearing adult diapers in Time Square (I once read a story about NY New Year’s Eve die-hards and was quite disgusted).
