Hi! It’s that weird time of year between holidays where you’re back at work, but hardly anyone is here, and slacking off is practically required.
Did everyone survive? We did, even though we did the bulk of our shopping on the Saturday night before. This is what happens when you lose 4 hours of productivity each day to your commute.
But enough whining! In general, I can report that the holidays were quite pleasant. We spend xmas eve with my dad’s side of the family and I must say, I enjoyed myself. I see them all only once a year, even though they’re local, which is sad. I intend to plan a summer gathering this year so that it’s at least twice.

I know. So hot, right? How can the lovliness of these shoes ever be topped by another gift? Well, I wouldn’t have thought it possible, but SB totally spoiled me this year and got me this.
I can’t believe it’s mine.
Dang! And I thought my iPod Nano was a great gift! Now I feel cheated. (Kidding – I had a wonderful holiday.)

Oooh … the shoes. The shoes … lovely shoes. Last year I gave the hubby the Pentax version of that camera and it is fun and lovely to have a “real” digital camera.

I got a crockpot from dd that I am excited to use. I used to have on a long time ago but it broke.
Also, I told dh I didn’t want anything b/c we spent so much on housepainting and new doors, but he did get me a fragrance set from the Body Shop anyway… Vanille Epicee and I love it.
