I made a new friend at the Suite 133 party
December 18, 2007 | City of Destiny
Last friday night at the Suite 133 party, SB and I were sipping some tasty brews and chatting up Erik and Mary, when the Tacoma Gnome popped over and introduced himself.

We were immediately immersed in serious conversation about his experiences thus far in Tacoma.

At first he held back, but once we plied him with a little Harmon glog, he opened up.

He really liked the Brown’s Point ESB!

That Gnome is such a social butterfly! After agreeing to pose for the paparazzi, he moved on to mingle with others.

I’m so glad to have finally met him in person.

I was only there for the earliest portion of the festivities, so I missed out on getting to meet all sorts of the bloggers who I’ve never met in person. Sorry I missed you guys. (I did get to meet the Gnome, however…)
I would like to point out that the tower in the background of the first picture looks rather gnome-like.

Ms J,
I did sincerely appreciate our discussion.
AND I appreciate you teaching me how to “chug” a 10 ounce beer.

Hey Gnome!
Do you have any cousins in the elf family. I swear I saw your cousin in Hong Kong just yesterday.
What gives?

~e,
The relationship between elves and gnomes has never been proven, but like the chicken and the eagle we are of a similar family, and may have common roots that go back a few thousand years.
I hope you’re having The Time of Your Life.

Oh my gosh, I heart the Tacoma Gnome. He’s so articulate and each time I look at his website I learn something new about The City of Destiny.

jamie: You are right! It does look like a gnome!
Tacoma Gnome: It was so lovely to meet you. I look forward to seeing you again soon!
Heather: Thanks, love!
e and Gnome: I encourage conversations between commenters. Gnome, I will confirm the existence of this potential cousin on our forthcming trip to HK.
Camille: Yes, the Gnome is quite the local celebrity.
