Shameless Whoring
September 17, 2007 | An-nou-ounce-ments
A friend of mine sent me an email a couple of weeks ago, asking how she could subscribe to my blog, to which I said, …huh?
Like all things on the interwebs these days, I needed only to Google, and whalah! If you scroll down to the bottom of my sidebar, beneath my flickr badge, you will find two easy ways to subscribe to Zesty Enterprise, should you so desire. This is handy for moms and aunt-types that would appreciate an email reminder that I have said something brilliant over here and they should check it out.
I realize most of you are all cracked-out on blogs like I am, though, and check back here often, frequently disappointed by my stale content. Feel free to subscribe, too, so I can stop letting you down.

I am a HUGE fan of RSS feeds, especially when combined with Google Reader.
If you haven’t used it, Reader is awesome. I have 88–count ‘em–88 RSS feeds going into my Google Reader. Tribune updates, a handful of Tacoma blogs (ZE included), tech blogs, friends blogs, and even gawker, so I can keep of track of celebrities in Manhattan. It makes life much easier. I don’t go web surfing but instead just go to reader.

Your timing is uncanny!
Yesterday one of our members emailed me and was like, “how do I add a subscribe button to my blog?” and I was like, “what, am I the blog expert? How am I supposed to know?” and he was like, “dude, I really need help with this!” and I was like, “dude, I think you’re SOL.”
And then, this post. Yay!
Can you point me to where you learned this coveted blogging skill on the Internets? I’ll give you all the credit (mostly).
xoxoxo.

Erik: Yeah, I guess I’m just an old fashioned web surfer. I just use the links on my blog to read all my goodies. So old timey of me!
Rona: I left you a message, but I believe if you click on one of those links, there is something there about adding it to your blog. Otherwise, just Google Feed Burner.
Rhon: Yay! I’m glad you are pleased. I missed bookclub, too. I am sad to know I missed out on such a lively discussion. Was the vibe different with both our oldest and youngest members missing? My turn to pick next time. Let’s hope I do better than the last time!

Sigh. I must point out, “whalah” is correctly spelled voila!
Just in case our Eddie drops by, you know, we’d want to have our French correct.

School-teacherly yours, Dar

You know, that’s funny, Dar! I guess I didn’t think of wahlah (which I’ve never actually written before, I guess) and voila as the same word, but of course they are.
And you are so right, we shant displease his highness.
