The only way to deal with something embarrassing, I’ve found, is to just get it over with and tell the whole internets.
Last night, I
…oh I can’t do it!
Last night,
I.
Fell asleep.
During Ocean’s 13.
Really. With Clooney and Pitt and Damon in their smooth outfits, prancing about on screen, larger than life, I fell asleep. Even the lovely addition of Eddie Izzard couldn’t keep me awake.
Now everyone’s talking about how good it was, and I wasted ten bucks. I guess 10:20 is too late for me to see a movie on a Sunday night.
Excuse me, I must go play shuffleboard and talk about my ailments and the weather.
I’m trying to figure out if that’s a negative review or not. So boring you fell asleep? Or just that tired?
I saw it, I liked it, but honestly I am not 100% surprised that someone could fall asleep in it either.
Um… just that tired, I guess? I would have thought that those three could be watching paint dry and I would still be facinated, but it was a busy weekend.
It was good before I fell asleep! I think.
Ha! You’re just getting older, dear. I actually did the same thing with Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon some years ago, though a few beers and a crowded, warm theater contributed to that as well.
I didn’t know Eddie was in this one, too! Hooray!
Oh my gosh, that is so funny Jenny. It sounds like something I would do. Especially right now. I am hoping to see it on a date with hubby this weekend. Tante Annelise is going to watch Anika overnight for us. Whoopie. I had no idea about Eddie Izzard. That makes me even more excited. I totally go for the smooth eye candy, and imagining how much fun they must have when they make these movies. I could be friends with these people you know.
Addled: Yes! There was beer involved! That must have been it.
JayAre: Yes, Eddie is in it, but he is very under utilized.
Heather: Yes, I totally know. Before I fell asleep, the eye candy was gooood. George has the prettiest eyes.
