Beyonce, BE GONE!

March 22, 2007 | I'm so ashamed.

I’m sorry, but there will be no blog post today as there is nothing inside my brain but Irreplaceable on constant loop.

I know I’m a couple of weeks behind the curve here, but to the left, to the left seems to be my default setting at the moment. It’s all I hear when I don’t have something occupying my brain. Today has looked like this:

think hard

work

finish task, press send

“….cause you was untrue, rolling her around in the car that I bought you-ooo, Baby drop them keys, hurry up before your taxi leaves…”

GET OUT! GET OUT!

get up and go look in fridge

open door, peer in the back

“…Standing in the front yard telling me how I’m such a fool, talking ’bout how I’ll never ever find a man like you…”

GAH!

Beyonce, you kick so much ass. I love you. But please, girl, GET OUT OF MY HEAD!

  1. there’s a song that’ll get any other song unstuck from your head; it just happens to be Private Dancer by the immutable Tina Turner.

  2. Everything you own in a box to the left….

  3. LSGP: I just tried REALLY hard to replace it with Private Dancer, but it din’t work. Probably because I don’t know enough of the words to Private Dancer, whereas every freaking sylable of Irreplacable is seared into my brain.

Shawn: So mean! You know I hear her in my head when I read that!

  4. Yeah, that’s the problem with that song. Another one is Somewhere Over the Rainbow and the National Anthem, but those aren’t as fun to sing out loud.

I’m your private dancer, a dancer for money, I’ll do what you want me to do… (Sung in the halls of law school)

  5. Tell me about it. I navigated my way through Disney World this December with this song.

to the left … to the left …

Good thing it is built in one big circle….hliv

  6. LSGP: Aw. I can just picture it. Did you get a long ass text I sent you about Lost this weekend? If not, someone else did. I suddenly have two different 206 numbers for you.

Heather: I am sad to report that it is STILL in my head. I think it was almost gone but then despite all my attempts to avoid it, I heard it again yesterday and now it’s back.

I'm Jenny. I'm in my 30's, I live in Tacoma, Wa, and I've been married to SB since we were children. We added baby Clark to the family in December of 08. This blog really has no point, it's just about me trying to live as zestily as possible while sharing observations and rants with you all. Speaking of which, you should start a blog. Blogging kicks ass.
