PURPLE! PURPLE! PURPLE! PURPLE! goldgoldgoldgoldgoldgoldgold

So I know you* must be anxiously awaiting news of hues so here is an update. After about two hours of hemmimg and hawing at Home Depot, I finally decided on the boringly named ‘Lantana’, a deep slateish purple. You* see, I had always said, throughout the many years of helping friends paint, that SOMEDAY when I had a house, I would be bold and daring with paint. I was also operating under the assumption that the entryway was the perfect place to be bold and daring because you don’t hang out there, you just pass through. I reasoned that I would not tire of a bold shade in a place I didn’t have to sit in all the time. So, ‘Lantana’ seemed daring and sexy and it made a statement. Well once we got two walls done, I realized that statement was ‘GO VIKINGS’. Back to HomeDepot I went this morning where I discovered that they no longer allow you to to return paint. (anyone* need any Lantana?) After much too much consideration I have settled on ‘Eastern Amber’ for three walls and ‘Brown Bread’ for the remaing walls and the ceiling. Eastern Amber is a light goldy-orange color and Brown Bread is just as exciting as it sounds. So much for being daring with paint.
